A toothbrush, clean gauze or a dry pair of socks can be the difference between a small problem and an emergency-room visit. For someone without a stable place to live, those basics are often the hardest things to get.
So that’s where we start: real supplies, packed by hand, given with respect.
Two programs, one idea: start with the basics, and make sure they reach people with dignity.
We assemble hygiene and first-aid kits by hand and bring them to unhoused neighbors and local shelters across Cedar Rapids and Marion. Each kit covers wound care, hygiene and everyday comfort.
How our kits work
We also collect supplies for community organizations beyond Iowa. Our first international donation went to Lions Club of Kanchipuram Host in Tamil Nadu, India, which will use it through its hospital and community service work.
