It takes a whole community.
Local partners donate supplies. Blair Ridge Dental gave toothbrushes and toothpaste. His Hands Free Clinic gave gauze pads, medical tape and lip balm.
Then high school volunteers sort everything and pack every kit by hand, and we bring the kits to unhoused neighbors and local shelters in Cedar Rapids and Marion.
Then we went 8,600 miles.
For our first international donation, we gave 264 new hygiene and basic first-aid supplies to Lions Club of Kanchipuram Host in Tamil Nadu, India. Volunteers hand-delivered them, and the club uses them through its hospital and community service activities.
